Yes. I did it. Enough of the Step and Hi Low classes. I needed a new kick in my routine this spring so I signed up for....Belly Dancing. Classes began this week. This should be interesting. We gathered outside the Rec center for our first class this week. As our instructer lead us to our new classroom off to the side of the basketball court and we walked single file by the sweaty male players our teacher warned us to "watch the players" so I did. Until someone from my class dragged me back into my room. Oooh, they were rather hot. And I was just following the teachers instructions....So if I am not blogging it is just because I am busy working on my new moves or watching the players! New Jersey Fitness had a frontpage article on Belly Dancing this month. Some of the benefits include improved posture, body image, muscular control, coordination, concentration, balance and grace all while toning and providing a cardio workout. Sounds excellent to me. I just hope that the above Mickey Mouse doesn't show up in my class!
